Na Liu was born in 1989 in Nanjing, China. She lives and works in Paris.
Na Liu's multidisciplinary work explores themes related to human behaviors in everyday life, subconscious psychological motivations and their interactions with objects. In recent years, she has focused on the fragile identity of women in their family lives. With a deep interest in literature and fiction, she works from theatrical stories, fantasies, symbols and even various metaphors. The linear structure of her videos and installations leaves room for multiple clues and leads the public to “go through” the different chapters of a large series of works. Its main concern is to create immersive scenes and environments conducive to experience and reflection.
